Foreign Courts and John Roberts

This brief essay by law professor Ann Althouse provides a gentle rebuttal to those (including John Roberts) who believe that American judges should never cite foreign legal precedents. The larger question, of course, is whether the American exceptionalism that motivates such isolationist views might be misguided, but for now it's worth simply enjoying Althouse's encomium for an open mind and a liberal education.
