The President spoke fourth during the morning session following UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, President of the General Assembly Sheikha Haya Rashed Al Khalifa, and Brazil's President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. Secretary-General Annan's opening address to the UNGA was his last in the post. In all, twenty-seven heads of state or government spoke before the UNGA today.
